I love my BFG ATs. I am hoping that they will be sweet in the snow. They are actually quieter on the road than the Kelly Safari SUVs that came with my XJ. I am very happy with them. when I was at the tire shop, the guy tried his hardest to talk me into Toyo Open Country over the BFG. I think Belle Tire must make a lot more margin on the Toyo judging by how hard he was pushing me toward them.

ecksay-
The BFG A/Ts do great in the snow. I have those on my jay also. Even my 35s I had on my old Blazer did good.
Kyle-
I have not heard to much on the Coopers. Not sure if I have even looked into them.
Most of the Jeep guys I know in Colorado are big MTR fans but they all complain on the fronts wearing much faster due to the soft compound on the tires. I have always been a BFG fan and have had several sets over the years.

I've been through so many sets of tires: bfg mt's, kumho mt's, trxus mt's, swamper ltb's, futura mt's...and many more that i can't think of cuz i deleted those brain files.
But anyways, the kumho mt's were by far the best tire i tested. They wear very slowly, super smooth on the road, and dig very well. No trouble in the snow either. Unfortunately they don't make these anymore (the old MT tread design) so i'm gonna go with swampers on ur list.

defiantly look into the coopers, they are excellent tires and have done everything that i have expected of them plus some. i have about 10k on them and they are still relatively quiet and they are wearing great.

We've run many sets of BFGs in the past, both ATs and MTs, and we went with BFG ATs on our truck (though I haven't been real happy about the tread wear we've been getting out of them though). Our current Jeep tires are GY MT/Rs though. Compared to the regular BFG MT/KMs, the MT/Rs have a much better tread design if you wheel in rocks and that type of terrain. The sidewall tread on the MT/Rs is was originally sold me on them over another set of BFG MTs. The BFGs do better in mud and slick stuff though. We've gotten better tread life, and quieter running, with the MT/Rs than any of our previous BFG MTs too. The new BFG KM2s should finally give the MT/Rs a run for their money in the rocks though since they're basically a 'streetable' version of the BFG Krawler.
For outright offroad tires, it's really hard to beat SuperSwamper in terms of tread design, sidewall durability, and cost. Our 'trail' tires for our Jeeps are a set of bias ply SS IROKs on beadlock rims. (4psi is cool, haha)
