Default Tired of lifter tap..!!!

I want to replace my Worn out lifters due to them causing a miss...I also want to put in a crane 77501 cam also....Has anyone used this cam before? how do you like it over stock?? it is for low range torque and made for Stock 4.0's. And seems to be popular. The head will also be redone with new crane spring/reatiners and valve seals....

most aftermarket cams have failed on people... a google will bring you some results. cant remember what most people are using in their stokers now.. the lifters are loud as hell to begin with, youre positive theyre worn?

I've helped build a couple strokers and run stock cames with zero decking a mildly milled and ported head, and ZERO engine ping...and we ran NOS stock cranks in them. there's no point getting aftermarket when they're gonna fail.

Unless it is supose to sound like a diesel.......... It sounds to me like a lifter isnt pumping up fully and that is causing my miss at idle. Comp cams is pretty stout cam company...

i honestly dont recall which cam was failing... just giving you a heads up.

and yea, they pretty much all sound like diesels. heavy 15-40 oil in the summer and marvel magic mystery oil helps a whole lot.

Why do aftermarket cams in these motors fail? It's a solid billet (mainly, these days) steel piece
