Default Tire & Susp questions

I am planning on getting a 3" lift and tire kit from rusty's off road later this year. Wondering if i should get the dick cepek FC-II or Mickey Thompson MTZ's. Which one has a better rubber compund for daily driving?

The Dick Cepeks look like they would be better on-road than the MTZs. It depends on what kind of off-roading you are going to be doing. Personally I would get the Dick Cepeks, some new M/T or other good looking rim style, and a Rough Country or Rusty's 3" lift with new rear leafs. (for some reason I prefer Rough Country over Rusty's, I have heard some bad reviews about Rusty's lifts)

DO NOT GET ADD-A-LEAFS, they will sag terribly. Get the full suspension kit if money isn't a problem.

Just found exactly what you were looking at, you need to know your rear axle. Get the Dick Cepeks, whatever spring rating you want (or need), and make sure you get the steering stabilizer.

I would suggest staying away from any "kits" that include rubber, it seems like its kinda limiting to me.

If you are asking about the lifts, too, I'd suggest looking into BDS. I run their 3" and its great. A few other members also use BDS, and they agree.

I think both tires you are looking at will wear the same on road, but I thin the Dick Cepek tires make a bit more noise.

MTZs are one of the best Max Traction Tires out there they are quiet on the road and handle good. The FCIIs are not great, but not that bad. The FCIIs are a cross between a MT and an AT but a decent tire.
