Default Tire size on stock wheels

I've got a 96 XJ Country with 225 75 15 tires on the stock Country mesh style wheels and wondered how big a tire I can run on these wheels? Ever since I raised the rig it looks a bit funny with these tires. 31's?

Iv got 35x12.5x15s on stock steel wheels. Just used a 5/16th spacer in the back to clear the leaf springs.

The only thing you need to worry about is width as far as mounting the tire to the rim. I wouldn't go over a 10.5" wide tire on a 7" rim and that's pushing it. After that all you need to worry about with mounting the wheel/tire combo on the vehicle is the offset and the tires rubbing when turning/flexing. This can be compensated for with spacers.

Don't go crazy with the spacers. They compromise the clamping force of the studs and nuts.

Glad to hear I can go this big...now to decide if 31 or 33 with 3" raise will be good or better. The rig is a DD in the winter and not much offroad if any.
