Ok Im getting a set of 225/75/15's and I think i have it narrowed to a few different tires. There are the Firestone Destination A/T's or the Kumo Road Venture SAT KL61's , Now if I went down a size to 215/75/15 I was looking at the general grabbers at2's . I'm mostly using these to drive threw winter conditions. And some muddy construction sites. Anyone with experience on these tires? Im looking at tirerack.com and I want to stick around 100 or less a tire.. Thanks in advance..

 

I have run the Firestone's and had absolutely no problems with them at all. Ran them on highway, dirt road, mud and light snow. Never gave me any problems and held their tread well. Looking to put a set on my Jeep once pick out the rims I like.

 

Definitely the Firestone Destination's. I have a set of the M/Ts and absolutely love them. Treadwear is fantastic.

Why 225s? 235s look better and fit perfectly.

 

We're running the Grabber AT 2's in 235/75/15. They're a great tire, and handle great in the snow. Paid $117 installed at a local shop. Can't really say anything about treadwear yet, only got a couple thousand miles on them. But they do great on the highway or offroad.

 

Dont know where you are but the Hibbons here has the 30x9.5 Firestone for cheaper than the 225's

 

Well I was told by my friend/mechanic that the 235's would rub? Possibly the leaf springs are a bit worn? Right now there are 215's on it...He said normally he see's Cherokee a bit higher than mine, maybe there was a different suspension? I told him from looking up info that all were made with the same suspension off the line 2wd and 4wd? Here are some pic, not sure if they would help..

 

Mine had to be the most basic model with 4x4 added and the 4.0 H ...

 

you have the classic/se which came with 215s stock. 235s will not rub. Mine is still stock height and i run 235s with no issues, even off-road at full stuff.

 

those tires look great....Are they good in the snow? Yea the door says 215 for the size it didn't give the option of the 235 or even the 225. I would rather have the 235 but I was a bit worried about it..

 

225s came standard on the sport and country models.

and they are fantastic in the snow/mud/etc.

 

I got Good Year Wrangler for 68 each in 235 and am Happy.. Wish I went 30X9.5 though...

 

235's on mine will rub in a full tight turn. Nothing major and nothing that would stop me from putting 235's if i wanted them

 

I have a stock 99 Cherokee Sport. Just got the Falken Wild Peak A/T 30x9.50.

have not had any rubbing issues as of yet. just snowed last night and they were great. no need for 4wd. tires dot com is where i got them, and had them mounted locally.

 

30s will rub if you stuff them and sometimes on full lock

 

I wish I was an American, simply for the prices you guys pay.

I paid about $1100 for my tires. They're amazing and I STRONGLY recommend them, if you're willing to pay good money. But who knows, they may be cheaper in the good ol' US of A.
