sounds like u worked really hard to get where u r today......maybe a little too hard?...... since when does being a mechanic mean knowing about tires? have u ever changed tires? all the bfg's i've ever changed have had soft rubber compared to mastercrafts coopers and others.
Soft rubber? What the hell lol its all about treadwear ratings.

Old style, I cant stand BFG's new line, the KM2s I think they are. If I were to get MT's now I would go with the destinations or some pro comp xterrains.

really? seriously? u really think that people will believe this? very few of the high end CAR tires that are top end get that many miles. a mud terrain getting over 40,000 would be very good. theres a reason their called MUD TERRAINS. their tread is meant for mud not driving on the road. i swear people these days all they do is lie and exxagerate and make **** up.

I'm glad I worked out all my pissy-ness early in this thread. (Diesel, you're good stuff, you know what I mean)
Now I can kick back and watch others make fools of themselves!
Mods will lock the thread with posts like this. I helped get a thread closed yesterday for similar mistakes. Don't sink your boat early if you wanna stay around, man.
And your spelling and such, not that great. It does indeed sound like you are a 14 year old in high school. Just saying.

Its really that necessary? It takes you that long to type and extra letter or two?
I'm just saying, it looks like you are poorly educated. And I'm obviously not the only person who feels this way.
Its not my place to correct you, I'm just trying to offer some friendly advice, esp. (<--hey, real abbreviations!) since its not your thread.

Aw, hell, I can't.
Thought you were in orthopedic?
Dude, no one cares. You are on the internet. You could claim to be Obama, you could claim to have a Ferrari, you could claim to be going through the precess of a sex change. No one will believe you. Its the internet.
I was just trying to offer some friendly advice. Take it or not, I don't care. But I'm unbias, and have nothing to do with you or this thread. I called it like I saw it. If you wanna keep acting and sounding like you are, go ahead. See how far that takes you.

Nokian Vatiiva M/T tires looked good enough for me to purchase a set. Having them installed as I type this.

WOW!!! All kinds of psycho tire babble going on here mixed with insults to knowledge and flexing of credentials. Sounds like jeep ppl to me...
I'm no expert, but something I learnned a while ago is that the PRO's run what they run for a reason. (sponsorship) haha
But really. If you want a 60k tire, you are going to lose rock grip. If you want super sick sticky, then u'll loose mileage. The undesputed king of kings of tires is the BFG Krawler Comp. Unfortunately, they do not make them in your size. In fact, they don't make any comp tires that size... But you can still see why PRO's run certain tires. I don't see any PRO's using firestone or hankook. An ocassional mickey thompson and even a MT/R or two.
*OPINION* Bias ply are a pain in the butt for a road drivn' vehicle...
If you have know-how, a properly grooved bogger can be extremely effective. Stock swampers lack siping to get you through the snow. Highway rated MT/s lack strength to get real freaky. It is a compromise on a lot of different levels.
If you can still find them, most ppl will agree that the BFG KM M/T (the origional) the one that goodyear, firestone, cooper, and maxxis all modeled their tires after are the stuff.
More often than not, ppl buy tires by looks and price. haha that is why there are so many of those stupid nitto mud grapplers on z-71's. whatever.
There are a LOT of BFG's on the trail and there is a reason they come on the H2, Rubicon, and FJ cruiser... BFG's are some of the most highly engineered tires on the market. Very hard to go wrong with them. And... if somebody tells you they suk, they weren't using them right. Air a set of KM2's down to about 8-10psi and watch the magic happen...
