I got a set of 33/12.5 Goodyear wrangler MT/Rs sitting in my garage that I got for practically nothing because 2 of them have 1/8-3/16 long Pen knife stabs that are plugged right now. I picked them up in hopes of finding another 2 to finish the set but have since decided to just throw some 2 other similar tires on as soon as I find some for a good deal.
I just got some rims today for 40 bucks and dismounted the MT/Rs and want to know if I would be better off leaving the plugs in or trying to do a cold patch.
And before anyone tells me how dangerous sidewall patches are I know this is not my DD and where I will be wheeling it is a few miles away and speed limit is 45 or less the way there.
just want some info
thanks

I am talking about patching it myself, But a tube had not crossed my mind. I am assuming a tractor tube of some sort? Would I remove the vaulves from the rim and feed the one from the tube through it?
Looking for a cheap fix already have a plug kit, can patch though. Tire will be on a week or 2 at max until I find another 2.

If its in the sidewall I would go with the tubes for sure. about 15 bucks each tops and guarunteed to fix the leak.
Oh and yes take out the valve stem and put the new one through the hole.
