Default timken wheel bearing

My wheel bearing went. Just went and bought 2 new timkens, apparently there are 2 options, a composite rotor and a cast, I have cast. Put them on and they sit to far in and my rotors rub. Do I have the wrong bearings? Does aqnyone have the timken part number for 99 xj 4.0 4wd d30 hp.

Oh wonderful! I will be doing this job in a few weeks. I am sure I will end up with the wrong part.

Found out I had the composite rotor setup with a/m cast rotors. The way you tell is stud length. When you go to buy them bring your old hub to compare. The specs for each style are online but I can't remeber what they are

Just did mine yesterday on my 99 with cast rotors and used Timken HA597449 from Auto Zone. Did the u joints at the same time. The u joints were a pile of rust on the inside and the drivers wheel bearing made crunchy sounds.

I soaked everything down the night before with PB blaster things mostly case loose. U joints were a pain. I also learned that if you have ABS you can not use the extension trick to push the wheel bearing out as the ABS tone wheel is in the way. Hammer and chisel worked for me. Starting with the bearing ear pointing forward worked real good and did not damage the dust shield too bad.

Driving is much quieter.
