Default Time for shocks

I have a stock 2000 xj and it's time to get new shocks. I'd like to keep it stock so what price would I be looking at for 4 shocks and what brand should I get?

Maybe four more threads will help you get a better answer? Lol

I've always thought Monroe was decent bang for your buck.

If you're not looking for exotica, just take it into a shop and get a price on some midway shocks or whatever matches your price point....

Do you have an advance auto by you? If so, go to their website and load your cart with 4 monroe gasmatics or gasmatic lt. Then use the code TRT30 to get 30% off your order. Choose ship to store and youve got 4 shocks for like 60 bucks. If the total comes to over 100 you can use the code TRT41 to get 40 bucks off of your $100 purchase. Once again choose ship to store and go pick up your parts in an hour. I use these codes all the time, over and over. There is no limit. It just has to be in stock at the store. Most stuff is.

Nothing wrong with the Monroes. Just get ready for a stiffer ride and enjoy the great stability on curves. I loved the handling when I had my monroes, but the harsh ride kinda grew on me with time and I just dumped them. You can always go with ACDelco etc.. I'm really satisfied with them since I installed them 10 months ago.

Absolutely. Anything, for the most part. It just has to be in stock at the store. Sometimes I need 4 of something and my local store only has 3, I will order one from a different advance store, all in the same order. I have 3 advance stores within 15 minutes of me so its not a big deal. Ive used them to buy $100 batteries for 60 bucks on more than one occasion. Brakes, rotors, mufflers, tools, as long as its in stock, youre good to go. Sometimes the website will list parts that are upgraded, that would need to be shipped to the store, or are a special purchase or whatever. It wont work for them, but I hardly ever run into that problem. They dont usually stock 6 brands of brake pads for the same vehicle, even though they list it on the website, that sort of thing. I stopped using rockauto, for the most part because of these coupon codes. If you google "advance auto coupons" you will find a whole bunch of these codes. I just listed the 2 most useful.
