tie rods please help ASAP
Help me out …
Yesterday I went for registration my jeep XJ they say I need to change the Tie Rod end to pass the road test.
I called the jeep dealer for the parts and they say the cost for the Tie Rod is around 105 USD for each one & the track bar around 165 USD.
& they don’t sell the rubbers.
What to do
Are there any cars that have the same tie rode end like the jeep XJ?
Preferred Toyota & Nissan the part in my country is cheaper for these two companies.

So, what is the matter with your tie rod ends? Do you have death wobble or wandering?

don't go to the dealer.
just go to an auto parts store, if you have one near you. it'll be much cheaper, and most likely have just the rubber boots and track bar bushings. easy to replace. then get everything greased up.

Those are very cheap. You can get the black rubber ones, or you can get poly dust covers in colors. This will be much less than getting new tie rod ends and then having it realigned.

Much cheaper there
I wish I can find the rubbers only all the shops sell the whole unit.
& they don’t offer the polythene type if I need them I must order it from USA.
Any way thanks a lot for your help.

both
should be a right hand at the pitman arm, right hand at the drivers wheel and a left hand at the long tie rod (drag link) near the passenger wheel.
that's for a stock xj, tj, yj and mj setup.
