Default tie rod replace/upgrade

so i found out my rear tie rods in my 94 xj country need to be replaced and have read the junkyard post (most anyway) in an attempt to figure out how to upgrade to the grand cherokee tie rods. i attempted to search but it didnt come up with what i wanted. also if any one could tell me not only how to install new ones but also remove old thatd be great. thanks

as far as i know, the only thing you can switch is the long adjusting sleeve. grand cherokee's have a solid steel one, whereas the cherokee's like ours have a hollow one that bends easily. i'm unaware if you would have to change the tie rod ends to a grand cherokee as well

Rear tie rod?

There is the tie rod runs between the front tires, parallel with the front axle. Its just in front of the axle. That can be replaced with a V8 Grand Cherokee tie rod, adjuster sleeve, and drivers side tie rod end.

The drag link connects to the pitman arm up top on the driver's side, and on the tie rod on the lower side, by the passenger side tire.

So what are you trying to replace?
