Default Tie rod end brands TRW vs MOOG does it matter?

Advance is having an online offer i can get all 4 TRW for 119 and Moog for 154. Is mood really that much better? They both have lifetime replacement warranties.

Both are top notch brands, go ahead and go for the TRW, same quality as Moog for a better price.

Go to the store and take them out of their boxes and put side by side...you won't be able to figure out the difference. I believe they are made by the same plant and stamped with a different part number.

That is what I found when I did this.

Only thing I noticed, MOOG are easier to come by in the northeast.

BTW, TREs and other such parts are "service parts" and the demand is insignificant compared to new production vehicle parts. As a result, the OEM is only going to source them from one supplier and, even then, that part will only run once in a while. I believe all of the distributors are buying their part from the same plant...that is why they look identical...because they ARE identical.

Finally, TREs are so common that many vehicles use the same one. Ditto ball joints and other parts. Not quite as universal as light bulbs but still pretty common across OEMs and vehicles.
