Default ticking sound under hood and what sounds like a air leak. what can this be?

so i've been dealing with a o2 P0132 sensor read code for a couple days now. previous owner said he swapped them out and still getting same codes. im still waiting on my test light, as i mentioned in my previous posts, to check the connectors but from what i can see visually, they looked pretty clean.

i get up this morning specifically to check those connectors visually before going in to work, as well as check for cracked headset, and i noticed a ticking sound but not from the engine bay but from a small part to the back left towards the passenger side of the car. i also notice that i hear some sort of air leak by this ticking noise. eventually i find a huge gash in one of those hoses and trace it back to the L connector that connects to the intake manifold (i believe that's what its called but bear with me as im just a novice trying to get good).

could this be the reason for the P0132 error code and be the cause of my rough idling and stalling. also, where and what do i need to replace all of the hoses around this gash.

this is where ticking is happening

this is the gash on hose

followed that hose to this connector here

You have so many threads going on this thing that's it's getting a bit frustrating but I'll throw this into the answer cannon.
1) that ticking is normal, it's part of the evap purge system
2) that vacuum line is not supposed to be cut, fix it. A vacuum leak like that could well be part of your rough idle problem . it makes no sense to replace more parts until you get something that basic fixed. Very very unlikely it has anything to do with the O2 sensor problem.
3. Somewhere in all this you mentioned you replaced the "computer". Why? That's generally a last resort....long after things like leaking vacuum lines are fixed.
4. Don't assume the head is cracked. Some of them do, most of them don't and you have plenty of other things to sort out first.

5 did you ever look at the emission label and see if its a Calif version?

That thing your pointing to goes tap tap tap after 2 or 3 minutes of run on my 01...If you pull the connector it sets a code...dont remember what... Its loud...thought I had a bearing knock or a bad lifter until I isolated it to that. If you cant find the correct coupling...fuel hose works great
