I have a 1990 Jeep xj Pioneer I6 4.0L, has 159k I get ticking when ever i first start it! and at High RPMs! i think its a lifter prob but i dont know what to do? is there a way to tighten them? or clean out my system without having to take my head apart?

It's an XJ lol. You can try running some Marvel Mystery Oil or Motor Flush through it right before an oil change per the instructions. Might help loose some sticky lifters or clogged oil passages. How loud is the tick?
Ticking is factory installed
. Like stated try some Marvels Mystery Oil, see if it improves any. You can try some lucas oil treatment, Ive seen it help some older vehicles.
