Default Thunk Turning Wheels at Standstill

I'm getting this thunk sound when I'm turning my wheels at a standstill, or sometimes at a really slow speed. Someone said possibly trackbar, you guys got any ideas? I know it's hard to tell without actually hearing it, but maybe some common causes?

Thanks

Angler if it can be heard then it is probably pretty obvious when you inspect for loose stuff in your suspension/steering set-up. Get down there and grab stuff and search your components to see what you find.
Report back when you have located it and we will be more able to assist in it's repair/replacement.

check the front axle pumpkin upper control arm bushing, the rubber rots out and that will make that clunk....

Most of the bushings are pretty rotted out and weather cracked. Anyone know if full sets are available? If so I can pick my way at replacing them. I'm not too good (experienced) with suspension / steering work, but I'm sure I can figure it out at my leisure.

Quadratec has replacement stock control arms for CHEAP. NAPA carries the oem bushings for the front axle upper control arm mounts.

Check your sway bar bushings, especially the upper ones that hold the entire sway bar onto the jeep framerails. They wear out easily and clunk just like you said.

Thanks, I'll start at the frame rail to sway bar bushings.

you might want to check your front u joint as well. pull the wheel off and look at those babys. my was doing the some thing if its the noise i was thinking. otherwise the other things i was thinking is a tie rod somewhere underneath.

have someone turn the wheels while you are underneath watching the front suspension, wiggle back and forth and find the clunk
