Default Throttle Position Sensor issue?

Well I was being stupid tonight and playing around in a ditch and when I backed up I dug my tailpipe into the dirt and stalled the jeep out. Pulled it out and now the Jeep is idling high when I start it up and won't shift out of overdrive on the highway even if I floor it. Do you think this is the throttle position sensor flipping out because it got choked out and stalled? Should I just reset the computer and see what happens?

If your TPS is bad right after you clogged up the tailpipe, i'd think it's just a coincidence.
*The TPS can be checked with a volt/ohm meter to rule it out.
*I'd make sure your TV cable is adjusted properly first.. That's the easiest thing to check for improper shifting issues.

I'm having similar symptoms with the jerking too, and it will slam into gear when I shift from park to drive

Haha, reminds me of when I tried to back my Jeep up a big pile of snow. Snapped the exhaust hangers right off cause it dug in lol. Good times. No idea on how to help though, good luck man.

I just did a tune up on it, I guess I'll change the tps, I'm going to try resetting the computer first and see if that fixes it
