Default Throttle issues after valve gasket replacement.

I just replaced my valve cover gasket this afternoon on my 1999 sport 4.0 and latter this evening when I went to drive my jeep I had to put the pedal to the floor (the pedal felt low and light) to get up to speed. Previous to the replacement the throttle was very responsive if I was not careful the rear end would kick out or squeal the tires. It is dark out so I thought I would get a jump on this problem now. Has anybody had this problem? What may be wrong? Thanks in advanced

It sounds like you didn't fasten the throttle cable properly. I'm sure a quick inspection will show you something.

yep I double checked it in the daylight and found that where the throttle cable connects can be adjusted. I pushed the button and locked the adjustment and that fixed everything.
