Default Throttle Cable Mod

My buddy has a Ford Ranger and he did the throttle cable mod. Has anyone tried it on their Cherokee? I am thinking about doing it to my cherokee.

The Throttle cable mod is where you create more tension in the throttle cable so its more responsive. This video shows it http://youtu.be/ptzlioeeuTA

My buddy said that it really does make a difference.

2 things....
That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard....
Last thing you want to mod is a throttle cable... Ever have one stick? Not fun...

Second jeeps do NOT have a spring on the cable. It is an automatic adjuster on the intake mani on 87-90 cherokee's and just set perfect on 91-up.

If you want better throttle response, put in a CAI (snorkel), 703s, and a 99 intake.

It will change nothing. Jeeps don't have that spring. It's there so you don't break anything when the throttle is floored and the TB hits max opening before the pedal reaches the floor. How often do you drive around WFO? This is a waste of time and would only be considered a mod because it uses zip ties.

I would say do it then report back because you had to cut the ties off because they hung the TB open. Only thing their pimpin' is they took any little bit of slack out of the cable. Nothing rude, just stating facts.
