Is there a gasket needed when detail cleaning your throttle body? Thank you!

If you're going to properly "detail clean" your TB, then you're going to have to dismount it. If you're going to dismount it, you're going to need a new base gasket.

TIP: Before you put the new gasket on, give both sides a light coat of dry graphite. This will help the gasket release next time, which reduces the need for cleaning (the graphite will simply wipe off with a rag dampened with solvent.) This still doesn't allow comfortable reuse of the gasket, but it shortens the job.

Haven't gone anywhere - just may not respond very often. But, I try to check each of several Jeep boards (and one RV owner's board,) at least once per day.

DO NOT USE BRAKE CLEANER!!!

its corrosive to the connectors and electrical equipment in sensors and its corrosive to soft metals.

clean IAC out really good and look at the sensor too.
