Those little split pins that connect the door straps (until they break)

Sorry for asking such a basic question, but I've searched and failed.
Does anyone know the correct size of the pins that hold the door strap to the bracket on the door frame? My driver's door is flapping in the breeze and I can't find anyone on this side of the pond who stocks them as a Jeep part.

If I could find the correct size I might be able to source the generic item. I tried that too, but my Metric confused brain got it badly wrong and I ended up with something that didn't even remotely fit.

I'm really keen to avoid $20 in shipping on a tiny little thing like that.
Thank you!

I would suggest a nut and bolt to replace the pin with. Should be able to find a bolt that fits decent, if not, you can drill the hole out a hair bigger.

They're not cheap. I went with the bolt and nut option. Just know that the pins are made to break instead of the hinges if too much force is applied e.g., a gust of wind. A bolt won't break.

Thank you again!
I'll get this sorted before my door gets blown back on itself and causes some damage.
I guess the 20 dollars postage is unavoidable.

You could try searching eBay UK RangeRover and LandRover door check pins. I remember seeing a few with lower postage. Cost with postage approx. 6.50 Pounds.

1/4 inch (0.25) = 6.35 mm (actual door pin diameter appears to be 0.26 inch, when installed compresses to .25 inch, the pins are tapered )

Door check rod pin part number BDM100050L. Used on the Land Rover Discovery 2 Freelander and Range Rover might work?

I'd email the seller or search online to verify pin size. Other options may be salvage yards.

I once purchased a new Dorman (made in china) door check and it wouldn't work, it was a lesser quality than an OEM and possibly was defective. Returned it for money back and found like new OEM from the salvage yard for $5.00.
