thinking about getting rid of the thermostat?

Bad gas mileage, carbon build up in the head, and loss of power. But it will get you buy in a pinch. If you over heat often and your radiator is clean with a good water pump and good fans. Just swop your T-stat out for a 160 degree one. It will keep her cool but not to cool.
