With any used car, its about how well it has been maintained, not necessarily how many miles are on it. If you can, take it to a local mechanic and they can give it a look over for a low price. When I got mine, my mechanic put it up on the lift and gave it a once over before I bought it.

X2 on having it looked at by a mechanic.
Which engine- the 4.0L I6, or the 5.2L V8? 2WD, or 4WD?
And Welcome to CF.

Except for the rust issues some have in the floors and rockers, and the gremlins in the wiring and PCM some have, and the issues with the Crank Position Sensor some have, and the fuel pump issues some have, they're great vehicles. And my '97 hasn't had any of those issues. I love my Grand Cherokee, and I hope if you purchase the one you're looking at you'll enjoy it half as much as I've enjoyed mine.
Welcome to CF.
