Like a few others, I have had the issue where the AC will blow out of whatever vent it feels like. Reading a few posts, it appears it vac related. So, I start with the first line I see by the battery on pass side. I tug on it a little and it came right on up. Seems it wasn't connected to anything.

Now, from what I think I read, there should be some sort of vac tank in the front pass side fender/bumper area. Is this correct? If so, I appear to be missing this tank or cannister (whatever it is).

Lookung at parts catalog, I came across this (circled in red). Is that mounted in the front bumper/fender area?

That's the part.

I just noticed mine is acting up today. If I accelerate hard, the AC comes out the defrost vents only until I lift off the throttle. My coworker thought the Jeep was possessed.

 

So I guess mine is missing. All I see in that spot is the horn.

Anyone have a pic of what it should look like (how mounted, etc)?
