Default Thickness?

Planning on fabbing a cargo storage unit in my Jeep in the nearby future.

Just curious to know, if anyone knows how thick the floorboard of the cargo
Space is? Dont need to go drilling through the damn floor!

The cargo area floor was oroginally 19 gauge, like the rest of the Jeep. A better answer depends on what you're trying to do though. In the middle there's some sound-deadening material that adds 2-3 mm of thickness. There are also several crossmembers and a gas tank.

Just planning on bolting and possibly welding the bolts so no one can try running off with my storage box that ill be making. Gonna be used for holding my tools, and whatever else is necessary that I may need for trails. Just dont wanna go putting a hole threw the floor. I mean I guess worst case scenario i could silicone it if I go threw. Or just put some sheet metal over it..

I'll put it this way. If you drill into the floor you will drill through it.

You have to go through the floor!
