when you turn your cherokee off turn the steering wheel till it clicks, the key wont be able to turn and the steering wheel will lock till the key is on and you turn the wheel just a little farther in the direction the wheels are turned and the ignition will free up so you can start it and when it turns over the steering wheel unlocks

They uses a pre 1996 Cherokee as an example, ironically.

I have an electrical shut off switch the disables the starter without the key. I have that on my sports car. Came out of hotel one morning to find a guy trying to hot wire my car. No way no how. Works perfect.

I use my xj for training so my rig is constantly contaminated with CS gas (tear gas) and pepper spray which to 90% of the population results in a unpleasant reaction when entering my XJ

They picked my passenger door lock too. You can not stop somebody from stealing your vehicle, if they want something they will get it but as a deterrent I took my door key cylinder out and put a blind pug on it and now use the AutoLoc Pro on my brake pedal. I will be installing a hidden kill switch soon!

I don't live in/travel to the ghetto.. Pretty good theft deterrent. Hell I've never locked either of my jeeps. Ever. Plus I think a lifted xj is it's own theft deterrent

Locked my keys in my 98 XJ... Took the LOCKSMITH 45mins to get it open. I'd say that's pretty secure, short of smashing out a window.
