ya the more i read the more problematic they seem to be.
i think the funds are best put towards my rear disc brake conversion instead.
thanks for everyone's input.

Ya & I'm alway the one taking the harder line in our group on every trail! I've eased her up a 4' step without problems, but I wanna go bigger!

The limiting strap is a good idea... But won't stop the on road manners!

these are all trails i've wanted to do for a long time & heard golden spike is great too. everything looks great there though. Ryan, do you head down to Moab often?

i then utilized TnT customs line of thought because i wanted "monster flex" too. (didn't TnT also invent the revolver shackle?)
anyway, instead of RE 3.5 i went with pro comp 3 inch "softride" leaf packs http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EXP-53111/ & 1.5" teraflex greasable shackles http://www.teraflex.biz/products/xj-...t-shackle.html
cherokee drives like a cadillac on and offroad. considering the u bolt eliminator kit now but i like the way my junk rides/sits as is.

If you want monster flex, you need to stick to as flat of a rear spring as possible. Excessive arch can work against you. Better results can be obtained for a 5.5" lift as follows:

RE 3 1/2-inch leaves + 1 1/2-inch shackles + 1/2-inch UBolt Eliminators = 5.5-inch net lift

I ran these shackles for about a year. They give you about .375" of lift. I only sold them because I needed more lift. I actually regret selling them. They never unloaded on me on the street nor trail. I would not pay new money for them, but I got mine used for $100 and they were definitely worth it. You get alot more droop.
