dont know anyone personally who runs them, but they seem well worth it to me. here's a writeup/review i found on them: http://www.jeepin.com/features/revolvers/index.asp

also: im pretty sure if you have a longer shackle for lift height then these shackles would lower your rig because they are stock length. not 100% on that but i've never seen them have any advertised lift.

From what i understand theres an unloading effect or something along those lines that makes them unpredictable. Allowing the body to get away and possibly put you into a roll situation.

I'll see if i can dig up the thread i read..

A good wheelin buddy of mine has them on his XJ & they only partially unload on CRAZY steep hills! We just got back from moab & he loves their off road manners, its the on road manners that they have problems with... As you go over bumps the leaf will bounce the shackle open then slam down! We are currently making a way to lock them closed, & QDisco them for off road.
They are worth the money, but not perfect...

Also since they weren't desined for the XJ, we found that you will need to trim the rear bumper & unibody or they will on rest it transfering shock through the leaf strait to the body! So its not just a bolt in & go part!

i have a brand new set in a box that i bought 4 years ago.
i haven't installed them yet, not until i get a sye installed.

they can unload while nosing down a very steep hill, if you roll the rear off the lip it will bump them to unload. but if you put a limiting strap on in the center of the diff to limit both sides unloading at the same time, you will have no unloading effect. the strap won't limit individual wheel flex any.

so once i get my doubler kit in, i will install these.

btw, the ones i have measure about the same as my 1.25 inch lifted RE2700 shackles while closed, but twice that once opened.

the angle i took this one looks as if the tape isn't centered on the pocket end, but i assure you it is. these revolver shackles measure .25 inch longer eye to eye in the closed position than my RE2700 shackles. therefor giving about 1.5 inches of lift over stock height.

Ya I've done; fins & things, hells revenge, kanes creek, poison spider, & gold bar rim! Not locked & on the 31's. I'd like to run 35's but I'm running a D35 & I'd rather not break an axle shaft... I've yet to hit something I couldn't get over on 31's!

I took my revolvers off and made my own extended shackles. They unload really bad and also cause an axle wrap effect that blew my rear drive shaft one time. The rear is much more stable on regular shackles.
