So I'm thinking about putting a 2" budget boost on my 1999 XJ I just purchased and I had a few questions.

1. What do you think about these Teraflex boosts?
2. Can I put 31's on my Jeep after this? (I realize I may have to cut out parts of the fender)
3. If I can put on the 31's and have to cut out, how much cutting am I looking at and where will I be looking at?
4. I'm not a professional mechanic, obviously, but can figure things out pretty quickly and easily with good instructions, etc.... Is it feasible for me to do this myself? Will I need any special tools?

I did search through the forums, but there are just so many that I thought it'd be easier to do this. I"ll post pics when I get this done.

Thanks in advance,

Theo

... go ahead and move this into the correct thread. sorry to add to the too many lift question threads

1st The budget boost is a great starter lift for weekend worriors that just want to get bigger tires & a meaner stance!
2nd yes u could fit 31s but u r gonna have to cut a lot off ur fenders if u plan on flexing much!
3rd u will need at least 2"-3" off in the front! Most guys just follow the top line from there stock fender flares!
The rear in the rear U shouldn't cut! (just fold) after u take off ur flares u will see the lil round body welds,
In the top corners cut little slits inbetween the spot welds! So the metal dosent wave when u fold it in!
Get a big hammer & beat it inward!!! As well as the body weld on the frame!
4th u will want to lift it up by the frame & undo the rear of ur leaf springs then just install the shackels!
For the front u need a set of spring compressors that u can rent from AUTO ZOO!
Use those to compress both sides of the spring EQUALY!!!!! Then just pull ur spring out & put the puck in then release the spring back into place!!!
5th BUMP STOP. EXTENDERS yes u need them if ur gonna run 31"s!!!!!!
I'm sure this should help a ton! I was bored! Lol
Welcome to the forum & Good luck!!!
