Temperature Gauge
I pulled apart the dash to fix a faulty fuel gauge...it was due to a broken circuit on the board behind the dash instrument panel. Soldered the broken circuit and got the fuel gauge working again. Now, the temperature gauge is not working. Any suggestions before I pull apart the instrument panel to try and fix this.

Temp sensor maybe? its on the thermostat housing. That would suck if you had to do it again. I did it once and hopefully never again. But that would be the place to start is the temp sensor. do you have a scanner which you can read live data??

The temp sensor on older xj is at the back of the head, drivers side. I had my temp gauge go bad, 99cent ebay one fixed it after i replaced the senor and nothing happened.
