temp,oil,gas gauges issue

temp,oil,gas gauges issue
When i use to shut down the engine and remove the ignition key all gauges goes down to the left, now the temp,oil,gas gauges stays up to the last level seen. Only the volt gauge goes down. What is possibly went wrong and will this issue drain the battery?
