Default Temp Gauge Driving Me INSANE!

ok so when i got my truck the previous owner failed to tell me that they swapped the motor... the truck is a 96 and the motor it a 98+

i know this because 96 motors have 2 temp sensors... on that goes to the cpu which is on the T-stat housing and one in the back of the block for the temp sensor that goes to the gauge

in 98 the gauge sensor and the cpu sensor were built in 1 and put in the T-stat housing...

now my problem is my gauge wont work because theres nowhere for the stock sensor to go... anyone have any thoughts?

i cant find a "T" fitting to put in the thermotstat housing that will accommodate the stock sensor and still fit the cpu sensor...

also i dont know how to install an electric gauge and that still wont help me if they have a seperate sensor that has to be installed because there still in no place for it...

can anyone help me? ive been trying to get this thing working for months

maybe a brass T fitting you can screw the sensor into then put in a heater hose? Possibly a plug in the side of the block?
