Hi all. Does anyone know if the 97+ TCM has the same wiring connector as my 95 has or if they changed.
I'm planning on working on a manual shift project and know of a donor vehicle I can get hold of what I need from if correct.
The wire colours do not have to match nor does the TCM itself, just as long as I could use the connector on the TCM and the donor loom to make a pass through adapter between my loom and TCM.
Thanks.

The 97-01 uses flat pins, with a couple pins at each end offset from the rest, which are also wider than the rest. The older use round pins, and are not offset. The connectors are also a different shape, so no, the connectors will not work.

What you need is the 97 and 95 FSM, go to the Electrical Chapters, there is a section called "Connector Pinouts" toward the end..all will be revealed

If you can get the part number for a manual TCM, keep your eye on ebay or Facebook Marketplace. Probably pick one up for about $35-60
Otherwise, do you know if you can get yours reprogrammed? Maybe someone here knows who can do it?
Or perhaps shoot these guys a message: https://www.myairbags.com/

The problem I have is parts in the UK have a tendency to be x2 times higher at least than over in the USA.
I have no need to reprogram my own one as it functions fine, all I want to do is create a board which can bypass the output of my one and send the outputs I want depending on what gear I select.
The chances are this project when complete will be a "Oh cool, that works, now it's in the way, lets remove it" but I do enjoy little projects like this so don't want to be spending a lot on it.
