TC vacuum line

so in the process off dropping the tranny a vacuum line that I believe was attach to the TC (np242) got pulled from the front and broke some little white hard plastic piece at the front end of hose
don't know why but have not been able to find any diagrams for the 98 xj. zj stuff is about all I am finding, so please hook me up with a link with pictures thanks

Its a breather hose, not a vacuum hose. It just lets air escape when the fluid heats up and expands. The white thing is a typical GM breather cap.

thank you, but just to be clear. it would go to no where right? and I could just run it to wherever. I want? thanks again though if only I knew of the breather hose

they are supposed to be zip-tied to the passenger side of the firewall, sometimes they are just flopping around the car. I ran the breather lines from my transmission, transfer case, and front axle into a little air manifold and put an aftermarket filter element to keep dirt from getting in
