I searched. I didn't find what I needed.

I'm kinda tryin' to start something here and maybe someone can talk about their actual gains. You know seat of the pants feel of a good spacer. The only person I know that has one on 4.0 says he loves it. He's no gear head but he's honest.

I've heard a hundred things about them but they have to do something in certain applications. If you change the runner length in any intake exhaust system some form of "tuning" happens.

But thats not what I think is causing any of the effects of the TBS in a jeep 4.0l. The coriolis effect is amplified by a TBS that has veins diving down to the right, Causing a vortex as the air moves down the intake runners. (at least in the northern hemisphere) The spinning air bends around corners and allows the air to move a little more free. Um......theoretically.

Does anyone have a TBS, what brand? Do you like it or did you feel like you got ripped off and if you hate it what brand was it. If you loved it, what brand is it?????

Unless you have trotlle body injection, the spacers don't do anything!!!

I have one in the drawer of my tool box if you want it. I bought a 4.0 throttle body for my 2.5l yj and the guy sent me a spacer with it. I installed the throttle body and threw the spacer in the tool box!!!

i fitted one a while back along with a borla kat back, there was a noticable improvment, BUT i dont know if that was the tbs or the exhaust?

I just put a Hesco TBS on and the difference was barely noticeable. In fact maybe I am only halucinating the very slight improvement in throttle response. In researching it I did read about a AWD dyno test done here in town with and with out and a flat spot in the acceleration curve was improved. I can't remember which magazine it was from.

Personally I don't think the possible gain I felt was worth the $65.

i must admit i had a flat spot before which is now gone, im loathed to take it off and try it without.
best improvment i made was to put a cleanable panel filter in the stock airbox

increasing your intake manifold's volume by less than an ounce is negligible, especially on a mpfi system. the only cars it can help with are smaller motors (2.0 liter/less), and throttle body fuel injected.

put a 1999+ intake manifold on it and it will double your volum of liquid (air) as well as add roughly 15hp and 30ft/lb's torque. check gojeep's cherokee site for the modification.

BTW that mod costs around $100 with a junkyard manifold.

I have an 87 Silverado w/ a TBI 350 and I can't tell any difference with a 1" spacer. I think they're snake oil though I do buy into the possibility of them helping smaller engines more than larger engines.
