TB upgrade revealed oil in manifold- why??

TB upgrade revealed oil in manifold- why??

So yeah it's not even good looking oil. My t-bdoy was dirtier than a prostitute when i took it off for my bored out version. I looked down where it used to be and saw some oil in corners. why is this, how bad is it? How "f'ed" am i?

its a 97...stock engine parts etc, 150k

Probably blow by or just oil getting sucked in by ccv. Pull valve cover and clean the baffles.

how would you recommend cleaning them?

Pull the valve covers and use some carb or injector cleaner and scrub the baffles with a brush. Also be sure to clean the orifice on the ccv. I usually use a probe like on a multi meter.
