Tank swap from '00 to '90?

Can I run fuel tank and pump from '00 xj in my '91?

i'm sure you could, but you would have to lengthen your fuel lines and wire harness as your 90 sending unit is on the front of the tank and the 00 is on top.
but i have no experience in doing this.

Not without a lot of work, including swapping out the soft rubber fuel lines for the newer hard plastic lines. 97+ fuels pressure is 49psi +/-5psi.

Stick with the correct tank and pump for your model year.
