I have an '84 Cherokee 'Wagoneer' that needs a drivers side tail light. Lucky me, the ones I have seem to be hard to find.


I cant find a replacement anywhere and they look to be a bit more expensive on Ebay. My question is, can I swap them out for a set like these 84-90'ish ones?

 

the body styles are the same i would check out the mounting holes to make sure that they are the same and also check and see if the bulbs are similar if you post a pick of the back of the tailight i can check mine and see if they are the same

 

I believe they are the same as long as your bulb sockets and bolt holes match like jd said

 

If it where me, I would try to make something like this:

Not with the armor or anything, just a box you can put your own style lights in, make it look anyway you want.

 

Yes you can...ish. I accidently did this to my jeep...now I need to go back to the wrecking yard and get a matching drivers side rear light housing to match the replacement. They have an extra bulb slot in the other one...but It bolts up fine and all the light up parts light up...so what the heck.
