Tail light/ reverse light sockets
I have a 93 cherokee sport and the sockets that the reverse bulbs sit in are totally rotted/ rusted out and i cant find replacement sockets anywhere if anybody knows where i can find them please let me know thanks. And its an 1156 bulb not 1157

Hit the wrecking/pull-a-part yards and grab what you can. The contact in one of mine was worn out. Grabbed the entire tail light harnesses from 4 different vehicles for $12 out the gate. Probably your best and cheapest option.

About 4 years ago I had the same problem on my '89. Rockauto had them for very cheap and I spliced in all new ones. I'm not sure what they sell for now.

Damn yeah I just checked too, Rockauto no longer has em. I would check Ebay, search 1156 bulb socket, or something like that. I'm sure a local autoparts store would have generic bulb sockets too, just a matter of finding them lol.

he means any 2 filiment 3 wire socket from any vehicle will work. you just need to splice the right 3 wires (power to running filiment, power to brake filiment, ground) togehter and find some way to secure the new buld socket in place where the old one twisted into. (like mentioned a silcone or some type of glue might work.
