Tachometer doesn't work
Hi,
I got a 1993 Cherokee, I'm new to Cherokee's just not Jeeps, having owned something upwards of 15 full sized Jeeps, and five CJ's, etc...
I cleaned up all the ground points that I see folks on here say are a must do, but still......my tachometer doesn't work. It's the only thing that doesn't on my instrument cluster, save for some indicator lights on the left side of it for 4wd, etc.
So what is wrong with the tachometer? I'm guessing it's electronic, and no I haven't pulled the cluster yet to check the wiring to it....

Okay,
Today I topped it off for the first time at the pump, and noted that the fuel guage only read a 1/4 above half on a full tank....so evidently more issues than I first thought, also the oil pressure needle stays up when the ignition is turned off, it goes down when you turn the ignition back to the on position.
So...I suppose I'll start with the cluster getting pulled, as I've cleaned up the grounds at the block, back of the head and the fender well plus battery.
Any thoughts?
