I run firestone destination m/t's as well and couldn't be happier with the tire wear. The A/Ts will see similar if not better wear - i'd definetly recommend them

I put General Grabber AT/2's on my XJ about 2 years ago, and I'm very happy with them. They are 6 ply, BFG All Terrains are 4. After one year with these tires on my XJ, I put 2 on the back of my '91 Dodge Diesel 2wd. I also had them studded (not an option on BFG's). I would recommend the General AT/2's.

I've always like the bridgestone revos for a nice DD type AT tire. they get a lot of flack but I used to wheel with a guy that had them and they work great off road and haven't run a better tire in the snow/wet

The BFG All terrain is a great tire, hence why its been around forever. Keep them rotated and 50-60K is realistic. If you're driving in snow, an all terrain is a much better choice than a mud terrain. I'd go with the BFG A/Ts.

Hell yea brother, I agree with you 100%. My new BFG A/T's are coming this Fri. can't wait to slap those puppies on!

i got goodyear wranger authoritys. No complaints so far. Although I probably would have gone for the BFG's if they were comparable in price.

I've been really happy with my Yokohama Geolander A/T-S tires. They are rated for 60k miles, and I've got over 30k miles on them. They still look great with over half tread left and do a good job in snow.

If you have to go with a AT the only choice if you want something that works good on the road and on the trails is BFGs KOs. They cost more because they are worth more. If you want an AT tire that is mostly for on road the Pirelli ATR is the best rated AT tire at Tire Rack.

Tire Rack. Where they do thorough testing, General AT2 is 8th in its class, BFG AT is 11th. Where the hell did you read BFG's are better then Generals?

Firestone AT's are amazing tires as well. No complaints what so ever. Definitely top of the AT class.

OP, your best bet would be to look at general at2's, firestone destinations, mastercraft courser at2's, and michelin atx's. I sell those faster than any other AT tires. I also have a firm customer base that is growing rapidly and anyone who has veered away from bfg has not gone back. The price does not justify the performance, there are much better for less.

Just my 2c, I have run my Goodyear Duratracs through thick sand, watery mud, and daily driving, and have no complaints. I couldn't get myself stuck in the sand in 2wd, the puddles I went through were no problems (up to about 1/3 door lvl with 3" lift and 31s), and I can take them up to 80 on the highway with no problems. They don't sing too much either, as opposed to a mud terrain tire. I believe they're a 50k treadwear warranty, but they are a little bit pricey. I got a deal on mine through JustTires, whose road hazard warranty is not prorated. You blow a tire out and it can't be repaired, you get a new tire.

Ok, BFG is baja champion sooooo........... yea.......... I'm sure you'll have something negative to say still. Why are you bashin' BFG, they have proven themselves haven't they? plus, where I shop the BFG's were CHEAPER than the Generals.......................................... .................................................. .......................

Duh, I stated BFG cost more because they are worth more. I guess I should have stated you get what you pay for, would that pass as the PC way to state that I believe the BFG tire is a better tire if you want to use it on trails, and as far as the Pirelli ATR you are right and I was wrong. Two years ago when I was looking at buying my first AT tires they were the number one AT. Sorry, about the misinformation about the top rated AT according to Tire Rack.
