T/case problems

T/case problems
Well I have a 93 XJ, 4.0 H.O. with a 242 T/case. The problem I have is that when I take off it sounds like the T/case is engaged a little and ?I'm wondering if there is any adjustment on the linkage or anything else for that matter that will disengage it fully so I don't damage it any more. Thanks in advance.
