my trasfer case randomly will pop out of 4lo and just make this loud *** grinding noise. also sometimes the shift linkage comes disconnected. i bought a new linkage bushing thinking it would fix the problem but it still happens. what do you think

 

maybe buy a chevy? haha ummm......does the shifter for the 4x4 move when it jumps out?

 

drain it and see if there any noticeable problems. Maybe a tranny mount??

 

this. especially since you changed the linkage. you did adjust it correctly?

 

Did you install a transfer case lowering kit? If so you need to readjust your linkage. If not it may still just need to be adjusted.

 

trans mount is good i dont have a lowering kit on it maybe ill try draining it and see what that does its done it for a while
