Anybody know if I can use a np231-c chain instead of a 231j?I cant seem to find the 231j local

 

Im pretty sure the only difference is the adaptors to hook to different transmissions. It should work, but im not 100% sure.

Seems like it would work.The counter monkies at autozone have to order it though,just want to make sure I am right because it takes 2 days to get it and then another 2 to send it back if I am wrong.And I wannna wheel this weekend!!

 

is there any napa auto parts stores in you area they seem to have a lot more parts for my xj that no body else carrys

Yeah Napa and Orielys but nobody is showing the np231j in their parts computer just the C....

i have a 231j transfercase sittin in the garage if someone wants to tell me how to take it apart and remove the chain i could send it to you for a decent price
