Default T-55 torx

There is a t-55 torx bit on a bracket that holds the sway bar links. That bolt will not move even with the links removed. I was wondering if the bolts are splined or if mine are rusted on the bracket.

Just take a hammer and hit them out. That's what I did.

It's splined. I had to heat mine with a torch and use an air hammer to knock them out. They were stuck in there pretty good.

They are splined and pressed in at the factory. Years of rust makes them pretty hard to get out. Use a nice size sledge hammer and wack 'em out. Or try a pitman/tie rod puller, it works if you can get it to stay centered.

Same here. You can rent them from your local auto parts store. They usually run you about $50, which you get back when you return it.

Honestly, it's much easier to Heat the torx side until its red then give it a good whack on other side, it ll pop out effortlessly. I did that last Saturday because I was replacing the end links and that bolt broke.

I bent a press trying to get mine out. That's why I went to such extreme measures. I installed an entire lift without heating anything up, but those are a *****.

Another Easy way to remove this is to put a large socket over the the Torx head of the bolt and screw down a C clamp over it and by tightening it down it will push it out evenly.
