Default Symptoms of a broken oil pressure sending unit

I noticed that my oil pressure gauge seems to jump jolt a little bit. Like the needle is never consistent and at idle, it just sort of jumps a little bit.

I also noticed that my oil gauge sometimes reads ridiculously high numbers. I am running 10w30 weight right now and it's at around 60-70 psi at idle and 80 psi under load.

Is this a dealer only item? Is 20 bucks a good deal for it online, or would they charge about the same at the dealership?

It's a cheap, readily available and easy to change part.
