Default Swaybar Sizes

I dont suppose anyone would know what diameter sway bar came with the 89 wagoneer limited.

There are 4 or five options when ordering throught autozone and they all claim to fit my year and model.

I know Im probably going to have to break down and by a micrometer but I thought I would try here first.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Couldn't you just put an open end wrench on it?

I would upgrade to a V8 Grand cherokee sway bar. It will help with your on road manors and bolt right up. You need the bushings (due to the thicker bar) and the bar has the exact same shape as our XJ ones(just thicker).

I do not know the original size of the factory bar. Sorry.

I was under the impression the XJ Limiteds had the larger swaybar...at around 1" as mentioned earlier.

Are the V8 ZJ swaybars even larger in diameter? I'll have to grab myself one if it is. I'll have to check out the wifes rig when she gets in tonight.
