Default Sway bars

Took the sways off front and rear of my 96 xj sport 4x4. Alot of people told me not to do it and a few told me its be much nicer. but it really hasn't made a huge difference even on highway driving. I frequently drive to long beach which is about a 80 mile drive and so far ie had no problems other than maybe some fun three wheeling action through some of those tight streets down there. Anyone have any significant problems or advantages with doing this?

removing the rear is the best decision you can do but for the front i would recommend some quick disconnects since you would be driving a lot of highway miles, not saying its impossible but its a better decision to get some disconnects

Agreed removing the rear is ok but you'll feel more lean on turns without the front, and risk losing control and flipping in emergency swerves. Just my 2 cents

I only have a 2" lift. I'm thinking about fabbin' up some quick disco's. I've had em off for about a month now and in that time I've done quite a bit of trail driving and alot of highway and it doesn't seem all that bad.

Also I don't plan on a huge lift or anything. I more enjoy desert driving and prerunning.

I agree there, most of my off road experience is on the beach. Not many hills in Wilmington haha

Even on the highway I have no problem without mine. It also rides much nicer on Colrado's crappy roads (rutted pothole city dirt roads and torn up pavement), a dirt road full of 8 inch deep 2 foot wide potholes feels smooth at 45 or 50, my buddy's XJ with a front sway bar anything above 20 it kills your back and rattles your brains out
