Default sway bar removal

ok so I tried a search and didn't see much about this

I went and got some 3inch blocks for the rear of the jeep to put some lift on it but the sway bar is hamping my vibe! its all up on the tires so the question is; can I remove it? or maybe is there a smaller sway bar that I can pull off some donor car and bolt it to the inside two bolts?

Thanks

yank that sucker... no real need for rear sway bar. Just be smart and leave the front one connected on road

Ya.. I agree with all of this:
-Free lift blocks could = a blown leaf pack ($$)... shackles from a donner rig are cheap and safer..
-Chop that sucker off. I didn't unbolt the shackle bolts, just cut the bar so you can pull it thru the bushings..
-Making disco sway bars for the front costs as little as like 30-40 bucks for the sway bar links and $10-15 in hardware from the store- clevis pins, washers and cotter pins are all ya need. 1/2 inch on the clevis pins, I believe..

See my build thread for a pic of the quick discos. Its project creeper

What ya need is:
2- 7/16x2.5 clevis pins
2- hitch pins
4- grade 8 7/16 washers

And new sway bars...

Not to hijack this thread buts whats the issue with lift blocks on an xj? They have been using them for years on pickups but for some reason everyone here says to stay away from them.

No he said they were "Super free".

Lift blocks increase axlewrap, and destroys leaf springs in a hurry.

The folks you see with gigantic blocks under their rigs are typically mallcrawlers and not serious wheelers. Alot of mud-jockies use them since they don't care too much about articulation and they use severly arched leafs.

Gonna go pick up some leaf springs for 60 at the yard(not super free) but sounds like they will make for a better lift
