Would it be a good idea to remove my front sway bar completly?

I don't recommend removing the front sway bar on any XJ that will be driven on the road. Disconnecting the front sway bar is an off road slow speed thing ONLY. Your front sway bar and track bar are essential to good control of your XJ at road and especially highway speed.

Ditto. Mine had a broken link, so I removed it until the quick discos showed up in the mail. During that time, my wife ALMOST rolled it on the freeway. It was dang close. She hit black ice, then dry pavement... I wouldn't do it.

They make front quick disconnect end links for a reason. You don't need them offroad but onroad if you don't have them IMHO you are risky your life and anyones life who rides with you.

Removal of FRONT swaybar is a definate NO-NO.
Especially if you drive on the street. Extremely UNSAFE at any speed.

One wrong movement and the sweet ride you are driving becomes a certain death-trap.

Swaybar disconnects are the only "mod" that should be made to the workings of the front swaybar, with the exception of better bushings.

If you are insistant on removing the front swaybar make sure you do ONE THING...

Let us know where we can send flowers and our condolences for your family.

i don't run swaybars, but with my setup its pretty stable. i'm wide like whoa, and when i go around corners my bumpstops hit and keep me from having too much body roll.

no swaybars in a stocker is scarier to drive than my jeep
