Default Swapping Gauge Cluster

The Cherokee that I'm interested in buying is a '99 Cherokee SE with the standard "idiot lights" (speedometer, large gas gauge...).

My question is, was the gauge cluster with all of the gauges available as an option for '99 SE's?

I'm interested in swapping it out for the gauge cluster with more gauges. Is it possible to have the odometer reset so it displays the correct mileage?

Thanks!

Aftermarket gauges are more reliable than the cheapy factory stuff.

I've got a '99 SE and I swapped out a gauge cluster from my '01 Limited donor. Super simple plug n play and everything is already set up in yours so the gauges will work and read correctly. There are a couple captive plugs in the back of the cluster and thats all there is to hooking it up. My mileage was close enough so I didn't fool with resetting the odometer but it can be done.

The only other parts you'd need are the oil pressure and coolant temp senders. I set my new odometer to reflect actual mileage. Be careful, old plastic gets brittle.

Nvm, your cluster would have electronic odometer. I've never looked at one of those.

You won't need oil pressure and temp sensors. Its already set up and ready to go...just plug the cluster in. I did mine 3 months ago.
